The doctor may give you a repeat prescription if you require regular medication and do not need to be seen every time. To order, please tick the required items on the tear off slip attached to your prescription and post or bring it to the surgery.
Please try to avoid running out of your medication by planning well ahead. We need 2 working days to process your prescription. We will accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone for housebound patients and patients who are too ill to come to the surgery. (Please enclose a S.A.E. if you wish us to post it to you). Try to request all your regular medicine at the same time.
Some local pharmacies are able to pass on your repeat prescription requests to us. If this is a service you require, please discuss this with your pharmacist. Occasionally we will ask you to see a doctor or nurse to review the medication and see that all is well. The "review date" on the slip is a guideline only, please check with Melanie (the prescribing clerk) before making an appointment.
Patients are advised to check their prescription before taking it to the chemist, particularly if you pay for your prescriptions as we cannot reimburse you for mistakes that may come to light afterwards.
Please order repeat prescriptions using the tear off slip attached to your computerised prescription, either in person or by post. Postal requests should be accompanied by a self addressed envelope. On occasion, a doctor may want to review your repeat medication, in which case you will be asked to make an appointment to see a doctor.
Please allow 2 full working days before picking up your prescription.
